A teacher's guide to using the Peterborough Museum Loan Box: Stone Age Murder Mystery and Chronology.
This resource, available on request from Peterborough Museum Education Department, is designed to be used in Year 7 Unit 1 'What is History?'; however, many of the materials are appropriate for other units in KS3. The boxes include a range of museum artefacts spanning the full chronological range, and laminated copies of archaeological photographs, expert interviews, artists' impressions, archaeological reports and maps, and museum display materials. A CD-ROM containing a collection of photographs and e-versions of these resources is also available in the boxes; the CD-ROM includes all lesson resources and plans used by the teachers involved in the original collaboration.
